Print Marketing for Realtors

Today, more and more homebuyers are using digital tools like Realtor.com, Trulia and Zillow to find their dream home. Does that mean that realtors no longer need printed items for their marketing? No. In fact, an effective real estate marketing strategy includes digital and print. Here’s why. Printed materials increase your brand’s visibility.

Business Cards
A business card is one of the most cost-effective and efficient ways to get your name out there. There are formal business opportunities, like networking events, where you can distribute them. Many successful realtors carry their business cards with them at all times. This way they’re prepared in casual situations. When someone mentions that they’re interested in buying or selling a home, that’s the time to share your contact information.

Your business card is your calling card. Many leave the back unprinted so they can jot a personal message there.

Postcards for Prospecting and Staying In Front of Your Customers
Printed postcards are another way to reach prospects, get leads on individuals that may be interested in selling their homes and stay in touch with existing customers. Let’s say that you are aware of a neighborhood where a number of homes are listed. It might make sense to do a targeted mailing showing homes that have sold with comparables.

Just one listing from a mailing like this can certainly pay for itself. Postcards can easily be shared too!

You might also consider sending some sort or personalized letter, brochure or postcard to individuals you’ve already sold a home to. On average, homeowners stay in their home eight years before moving. Mailings like this are another way to stay in front of those you have already developed a relationship with. They are also more likely to share your information with their friends and families resulting in more referrals coming your way.

Promotional Items, Notepads and Sticky Notes
Looking for something different? Consider items that individuals use every day that can be imprinted with your contact information. Notepads, sticky notes, pens and mugs are just a few items that can be used as thank you gifts or giveaways at events.

Signage
This might sound obvious but signs are one of the best ways to capture the attention of a homebuyer. Think about it ‘Just Listed’ ‘For Sale’ and ‘Sold’ signs are the bread and butter of a busy realtor. Not everyone is online! These signs are your billboard to the world letting the community know about your brand and how to contact you!
